U.S. Embassy and DOST-PSHS System sign MOU for STEM Curriculum Development
The United States Embassy in the Philippines partnered with the Department of Science and Technology’s (DOST)- Philippine Science High School System (PSHSS) to engage this years’ U.S. Embassy Science Fellow (ESF) Dr. Jermelina Tupas. Under a Memorandum of Understanding, Dr. Tupas, a human capital expert from the U.S. National Science Foundation assisted DOST-PSHSS in assessing its human resources, exploring training opportunities, and provided expert advice for the full implementation of the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) program.
PSHS System’s New Executive Director Takes Oath of Office
Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismolgy (PHIVOLCS) in Quezon City, April 5, 2017. Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Secretary Fortunato T. De la Peña officiated the Oath Taking Ceremony of the new PSHS System Executive Director, Ms. Lilia T. Habacon.
Also present during the Oath Taking: Dr. Carol M. Yorobe, Undersecretary for S&T Services of DOST and Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the Executive Director (OED), PSHS System, together with members of the OED.
