2014 National Science and Technology Week
The Philippine Science High School System, together with PSHS National Alumni Association and PSHS Foundation, Inc., are now accepting nominations for the 3rd Dr. Cleofe M. Bacuñgan Natatanging Guro (NG) Awards. This award aims to give recognition to outstanding teachers who demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, have been engaged or currently involved in research/creative works, and possesses notable accomplishments/achievements. Held yearly since 2011, the PSHS-FPLA Science Fair is an event that convenes delegates comprising of selected PSHS scholars from each PSHS campus nationwide, and students from other schools. This fair is the fruition of the collaborative efforts of the PSHS System and the First Pacific Leadership Academy or FPLA (formerly known as Meralco Management Leadership Development Center). A PSHS System Working Committee, constituted by a number of faculty and administrative personnel of PSHS System, work hand in hand with FPLA Team to make this fair possible.
This year (2014), in view of the 50th Anniversary of PSHS, the PSHS-FPLA National Science Fair (NSF) was hosted by the Main Campus (the first PSHS Campus which was established in 1964) and carried the theme: “Build a Culture of Science”. This fair was held in FPLA in Antipolo City, then in PSHS Main Campus in Agham Road, Diliman, Quezon City.
