MOTLI is recognized as the local partner of the Hong Kong-based Olympiad Champion Education Center (OCEC) to facilitate the following International mathematics/science Olympiad from heat rounds to the final rounds: Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad (TIMO), Hong Kong International Mathematical Olympiad (HKIMO), Hong Kong International Science Olympiad (HKISO), Hong Kong International Computing Olympiad (HKICO), and Big Bei Bay Mathematical Olympiad (BBBMO).
PSHS System Executive Director Lilia Habacon commends the Pisay math teacher awardees for this recognition.
“Behind the development of skills and values of students are teachers who commit themselves for the holistic development of their students,” Habacon said.
According to Habacon, mathematics is important in physical sciences, medicine, economics, technology, business, financial services, and many areas of information and communication technology.
“Nurturing the mathematical skills of students is a significant part of logical thinking because mathematics helps in building problem-solving skills,” Habacon said.
