The Philippine Science High School System held the National Finals of the National Science and Technology Week (NSTW) Sci-Math Battle 2021 virtually last November 27, 2021. This year’s NSTW carries the theme: Agham at Teknolohiya: Tugon sa Hamon ng Panahon.
Out of the 16 NSTW Sci-Math Battle regional winners, the top 3 scorers in the online quiz bee were hailed as the top winners:

The online quiz bee included topics in Science, Mathematics, and Technologies. It was conducted via Zoom in three rounds: Easy, Average, and Difficult. The 16 contenders answered 10 questions in the Easy Round, seven questions in the Average Round, and five questions in the Difficult Round.
Mr. Kris Gerald del Norte, Head of the Data Analytics Unit under the Knowledge and Innovation Division of PSHS System-Office of the Executive Director (for Mathematics), Ms. Caridad Gicaraya, Special Science Teacher III, teaching Integrated Science at PSHS-Main Campus (for Science), and Dr. Joel Bautista, Chief of the Knowledge and Innovation Division of PSHS System-Office of the Executive Director (for Technology) served as judges.
PSHS System Executive Director Lilia Habacon acknowledged the effort of the teams behind this national quiz bee. She said that the Sci-Math Battle was a collaborative effort of all the PSHS System and the 16 campuses that initially staged the regional competition prior to the national finals. She also commended the dependable and resilient Pisay teachers and workforce behind this event.
The National Champion received a Makeblock Robotics Kit with a tablet from the PSHS System while the second and third place winners got a Smartphone. All top three winners were given a Starbooks package from the DOST-Science and Technology Information Institute and Quipper Philippines, corporate giveaways from DOST-Science Education Institute and Metro Pacific Waters of the MVP Group of Companies, and a printer and Php 2,000.00 worth of gift cheque from the PSHS System. Consolation Prize Winners received a gift cheque worth Php 2,000.00 from the PSHS System and corporate giveaways from DOST-Science Education Institute and Metro Pacific Waters of the MVP Group of Companies.
